Fangliao Fishermen's Association

Fangliao is a trasportational hinge of Pingtung Hsien, it is the conjunction of the coastline of Kao-Ping coastline highway and Ping-Er highway, but it is also the start of Southern highway connect with Taidong new station, so daily traffic is one of character of Fangliao. Fanliao is one of town at South West of Taiwan coastline, on the development of fishing industry, the main method of fishing is use the traditional manual dragnet; until Kanshi period, after some people immigrate and colonize Taiwan, then fish boats are introduced to Taiwan, so it gradually helps the coastline fishing industry development. Because Fangliao beaches are complanate with rich resources in the sea, which is easy for fish inhabitation and reproduction. Also because fishermen are able to work under hardiness, so the area has good development in fishing industry. Recently, as changes of societies goes on, the stable weather helps the local fishing cultivation develop very well, the surface area and production of cultivation has increased rapidly, becomes the local unique characteristic view.
