This is a traditional industry that has strong local characteristic. Because of Penghu has many reefs, strong winds during winter time, so the Penghu has the special growing condition for long leaf seaweed, and it produced highly in nutrition and special taste seaweed. At the South China sea, can see lots seaweed growing on the unmanned islands, everyyear can collect 2~3 times. When tourists come here, they can visit the laver seedling reproduction field, visit the artificial breeding laver shed, or join the wild laver collecting activities.
