Council of Agricultural, EY, R.O.C appeals that citizens should tolerant each others.
Council of Agricultural said, while government is busy on response a hundred thousands of unhappy agrarians and fishermen because of a policy on fishermen and agrarians’ financial renovation, the fishermen and agrarians will parade at 23rd of November. However, some medias reports that some people leave messages on Internet, which is about refusing to buy national agricultural products activities, for opposing a hundred thousands agrarians and fishermen come to Taipei to parade, which causes serious traffic and unsafe state etc negative effects.
Council of Agricultural indicates that they also support government on renovation of agricultural financial bases, but because fail of communication so people misunderstood that government want to abandon the agrarian or fishermen’s associations, Council of Agricultural feels very sorry about it. Sure no one likes to see fishermen and agrarians parade. Hope other people can also considerate for government’s effort and agrarians and fishermen’s hard earns, do not start any opposing, that will cause contradictory state and inflame agrarians and fishermen’s feeling. Council of Agricultural indicates that agricultural is one of basic necessary element, if the national agricultural can develop well, the producer and consumer will both benefit; if because of consumer opposing on buying national agricultural products, however, then it will cause national agricultural industry shrinking, which will result as big impacts on both consumer and producer. When Taiwan join the WTO, facing the International free trades cause potential impacts, that’s why during this people must cooperate together to help each other to pass this hard time, support the national agricultural and help on reducing the impacts of imported international agricultural products. Council of Agricultural appeal citizens should have tolerance and rationality for the parade of fishermen’s and agrarians.
Council of Agricultural hope the parade the 23rd of November parade can end safely, but because this time the size of parade is huge which is never happened in recent years. The parade will end at midnight, because the council considered that some agrarians or fishermen may lost on the way, so the council will provide emergency services, to help agrarian and fishermen solving relative problems. If needed, fishermen and agrarians can call 2312-6944 for help from 6pm till 10pm, then the Council of Agricultural will provide the help immediately.
