Twelve sea miles of the Yachi sea area has been set as forbidden area by Indonesia. The Fishery Agency of Agriculture Committee under Administrative Yuan has got a notification from the foreign Indonesia ambassador, which says that the Indonesia Minister of Transportation Department, AGong Gulame, announced that in order for the Indonesia government to help army to practice the military activities, they decided to set the Yachi sea area as a controlled forbidden area. At same time, they also announced on-sea notice, to ban the foreign ships operate within the Yachi sea area of Indonesia. The banned activities include all kind of ferries, cargo ships and passing fishing boats, or else disobeyed ships or boats will be facing strict punishment by Indonesia Navy or even been fired to sink the intruder.
The Agricultural Committee of Pingtung County government remind all the fishers who passing the Yachi sea area should passing it quickly or change direction to by pass the area to avoid any unnecessary dispute accident.
