 Tzukuan fishermen association's fisheries effective area is start from Dianbaw river mouth at South, and till the end of Ta river. Now it has 136 fish boats and 214 sampans registered, mainly use dragnet, bindnet, floating sharpnet. Fish boats mostly fishing at nearby coastline, and mainly are catching mulletfish, red-banded lobster, meat fish, bulleye, largehead hairtail, yellowback seabream etc. During the afternoon, fish boats are coming back to harbor one by one to unload the fish catches, various seafood laying in the fish market for sale, the market filled with sound of lots people and the auction of fish goods. Especially during the winter season, attracts many people come to buy cuttlefishes. The outside of fish market has already forms as a holiday fish market, with all kinds of sea foods, people keeps flooding in during the holiday, and it has already become a recreaton places for tourists. Now it is planing to develope a holiday recreational tourism fish market positively.
In order to adop the fact that Taiwan joined the WTO, the provider department of processing factory of the fishermen association is positively appling for HACCP and sea banquet recognition, to increase the local fish product safety and quality. Moreover, the fish products supply center is continuous expending its selling area and the products have also insured for NT$20 million of responsible insurrance to protect the cunsummer rights. Now, other than providing the fish products for Kaohsiung Country and city military, factories, supermarket and school lunch box, they also works hard on developing recreation foods, seafood, narrow barred Spanish mackerel, mullet fish roe, anchovy, fried fish mince and more gift boxes.
