1‧To Set Up Assisting and Guiding Organization
A Committee on Assisting and Guiding the Improvement of Fishermen's Associations' Operation, Management, and Development is formed, which is composed of people from the Taiwan Provisional Fishermen's Association and governmental fishery agencies, people responsible for agricultural financial institutions, and scholars and expers. The Committee holds regular meetings to assist in making working plans and guidelines and to monitor the implementation process, which aim to enhance fishermen's associations' structures and functions, to better their financial structure, to help them expand major businesses, and to help them establish information systems. Evaluation of the performance will also be carried out to make sure the tasks are completed.
2‧Entrance Exams for New Employees
New employees of fishermen's associations are examined and selected in accordance with the exams given by the central government or the provisional authority concened. After examination results are issued, those who have passed the examinations are employed by their respective fishermen's association. By so doing, it is hoped that the quality of the employees can be improved.
3‧To Develop Information Businesses
In order to set up fishermen's associations' information systems, the Provisional Fishermen's Association made a decision on a development plan which began on a development plan which began in 1987. In accordance with the plan, the business of administration, credit, finance, extension, and management of the association's credit, finance, extension, and management of the association's general affairs, and the business of fish markets were all to be computerized within four years. Software designed for fish market businesses and training for computer operators are being undertaken in accordance with the planned schedule.
