1. | Coastal Fishery(2002/12/27) | | It refers to the ones engaging in fishing operation within 12 N.M. of boat or not; main fishing gear include gill net, set net, beach seine, fish fry catch and other fishing gear, etc. |
2. | Offshore Fisheries(2002/12/26) | | During the latest 10 years, the offshore fishery is minor growth in production volume. It reached its peak in 1990 as 292,391 M.T. and with slight reduction from 1992. Since the resource amount tends to decrease, the fishing ground layout and fishery management work shall be improved in the future. |
3. | Far Sea Fisheries(2002/12/17) | | In 1953, the government started to implement phase I Construction Plan, with concern in development of far sea fisheries by inducing in new model fishing technology, strengthening in financial loan operation, encouraging to build larger fishing boats, and fishing production volume. |
4. | General Public Facilities(2002/12/16) | | It is estimated from 1997 till 2002, budget of NT$1,954.4 millions shall be prepared to construct the onshore facilities of 71 fishing harbors of Taiwan to cope with fishery environment and requirement, construct splendid fishing village and effectively improve the fishermen's life. |
5. | Construction of Fishing Harbor(2002/12/03) | | A fishing harbor is the base of marine fishery and an important device to safeguard the life and property safety of fishermen, and promote fishery development. |
6. | Fisheries Processing(2002/12/03) | | At present, there are about 1,400 fisheries processing plants.
